Its one of those days...

The temperature is just perfect. The breeze is blowing the curtains. The sun coming through the windows. The dogs and cats lazing around on the porch. The baby is napping and all is peaceful and quiet. Its the kind of day you sip your coffee and just feel thankful for each moment. I had a really nice salad for lunch. I just love when things begin to bloom and you can get the beautiful fresh fruits and veggies that this time of year brings. I can hear the wooden wind chimes on the front porch clacking in the breeze. Why cant every day be like today. I guess if it were, what kind of days would I have to look forward to? These are the days that make all the others worth living.

All things healing....

March 17, 2009
Well a lot of time has past since I blogged... I am not a good blogger. I think I lost my creative edge sometime back in my "teen angst years". The passion has left me, but I still try periodically. So Just a quick update, really. Just to bring us up to speed with my life in the last few months. Tristan was tested to see if he is able to pass first grade and go right into second! This is a proud mommy moment! Hes a very bright kid. He deserves to go to second grade. Heck if they put him in fi...

Christmas and New years have come and past and....

January 2, 2009
I truly have not had a moment left to blog. I was in an auto accident on the 12th of December and spent some time in the hospital. I am home now, trying to recover and sort out my life now that it has been turned upside down. I have a long list of injuries, all pretty serious. Its funny how one moment can alter the whole course of your life. I don't want to be bitter however, so today I think I will make a list of things I am thankful for. Suppose that could have been done on Thanksgiving, bu...

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

November 25, 2008
Well here we are just days away from the big "Turkey Day". A time to give thanks and share moments with family and friends. If you love cooking like me you have been planning and prepping food all week already. I get so excited for the big day of cooking! Today I am making the "thankful tree" and idea I found on thefamilyhomestead.com Although, I am making mine a little different. I am using a large sheet of paper to paint the tree on and then cutting out the leaves for people to write what t...

Report Card Time

October 30, 2008
So my sons received their report cards Monday. Both are doing very well academically. Collin made all "B's" and only one "C". Which is a wonderful accomplishment for a child that misses as much school as he does. I mean I hardly think most adults that had brain surgery and radiation could keep their grades up as well! But children are so resilient. The best part, to me, is that at the beginning of the school year he said "Mom, this year I'm really going to try hard and get all A's". And I kno...
